These amazing individuals contribute to the Faculty of Fishing team in many ways, both in front of our cameras and behind the scenes, to give you the most accurate, most useful and most entertaining learning experience available on the internet.
Jason Blackmon
Jason Blackmon, is a Pro Staff Angler for the ArmyBassAnglers. He currently spends over 175 days on the water. Jason is an accomplished professional tournament angler with numerous tournament victories and multiple top five and ten place finishes. He considers shallow water power fishing for largemouth bass as his main strength presentation. He thrives on the competition aspects that tournament fishing brings to the sport. When he is not on the water, Jason spends his time with family and as an Active Duty Army Sergeant First Class. Hooah!
Darrin Bohonis
Darrin got his start in the fishing industry working at a local tackle store at the age of 15. Over the past 20 years, he has been fortunate to establish a career related to his passion. As a sales representative for companies in the Fishing and Outdoor Sporting Industry, Darrin has found the perfect balance of promoting and enjoying the sport of fishing. Along with being an avid tournament angler, Darrin also enjoys opportunities to support organizations and events promoting the sustainability of our great resource. "Everyone has a responsibility for future generations."
Gord Ellis
Gord Ellis has been writing about fishing for 26 years.A resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario, he has fished from coast to cost to coast,in fresh and salt water. Gord has written for Ontario Out of Doors magazine for nearly 20 years, and is the magazine's Senior Editor. He also works as journalist for CBC radio in Thunder Bay and writes several columns for a variety of magazines and newspapers. A Lund pro staff, Gord has fished dozens of competitive tournament for bass, walleye and pike over the years. He has written over a thousand articles and has won two dozen national writing awards.
Jeff Gustafson
Jeff was born and raised in Kenora on the shores of Lake of the Woods. He fished the KBI for the first time in 1993 when he was ten years old with his dad and his love for competitive fishing blossomed from there. Jeff now makes a living within the fishing industry through guiding, writing, promoting and tournament fishing and enjoys every minute of it... "I'm living the dream!", he says. The highlight of his fishing career was winning the KBI in 2000 with his partner Chris Savage. "I was 17 years old at the time and winning in front of the hometown crowd was sweet."
Keith Kavajecz
Keith Kavajecz is a professional walleye fisherman, accomplished tournament angler and stays very active in promoting nd growing the sport of fishing. Keith is a "Legendary Angler" inductee into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame and one of the co-hosts of the popular The Next Bite TV show. Each year Keith proves himself on the tournament trail with added wins and top ten finishes to his name.
Andrew Klopak
Andrew Klopak, known for his passion and dedication to the fishing industry, is also recognized for his ability to compete with some of the best walleye anglers around. As a tournament angler, Andrew has many wins and top ten finishes in both walleye and bass tournaments around Canada and the United States. Many of Andrew's days on the water are spent operating his own guiding service, where his guests have many stories of good memories, and of course, big fish. As a professional guide, past president of Lund Boats and founder of Angler Young Angler tournaments, Andrew continues to stay involved in the fishing industry and is always willing to give back to the sport.
Terry McClymont
As founder and CEO of the Faculty of Fishing, Terry had been looking for a way to give back to the industry he so loves. As a proficient and respected tournament angler, the inception of Faculty of Fishing was developed to provide anglers of all levels of ability with the most in-depth resource on fishing available anywhere. The unique on-line course format is not only aimed to provide anglers with a wealth of information, but also the skill set to apply their knowledge on the water. Terry's passion for fishing is reflected along with the team of experts he has assembled to educate, promote and enhance our valued resource of fishing.
Jim Moynagh
Jim Moynagh is a full-time professional bass fishing tournament angler. Competing in the FLW circuit, Jim also finds to participate in many other tournaments all over the U.S. and Canada. Jim's well known for his success fishing different types of structure with a Football Jig. With many top ten finishes and numerous wins, Jim continues to compete with the best bass anglers in the world. When not on the water, Jim enjoys time with his family and watching his son play hockey.
Michael Murphy
Michael Murphy is a Professional Angler who competes full time on the FLW Tour. Originally from Indiana, after graduating from Purdue University with a Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences degree in 2003, he moved to Georgia, spent three years working for several fishing tackle companies and eventually ended up in South Carolina in 2006, where he currently resides by Lake Murray. Chris Novack
Chris Novack is a professional tournament angler, who has qualified and competed in the Bassmaster classic. He continues to add his name next to more and more wins and top ten finishes every year. Recently retired from his career as a Correctional Officer, Chris runs 'Connecticut Outdoors' and continues to compete in Bass tournaments around the United States. Known for his passion for the sport and willingness to share how he is successful when on the water, his contributions towards the fishing industry are appreciated by many.
Kristine Wilson
Kristine has been involved in recreational fishing since she was a small child. Her fascination with the water and its creatures helped her earn a 4 year Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at Dalhousie University. Kristine is now in Norway, taking her Master's in Aquaculture Biology where she is focusing on cold-water marine species, specifically cod and salmon. Along with her studies she now focuses most of her time working and volunteering, in labs and in the field.
Steven Wintemute
Editor of Hooked Magazine/Travel Manitoba Fishing Ambassador
Steven Wintemute is a fishing fanatic! He eats, dreams and lives fishing. As Founder and Editor of Hooked magazine and Travel Manitoba's fishing ambassador he has had the opportunity to meet lots of great anglers and fish some world class fisheries. He is dedicated to becoming a better angler and spends a great amount of time to learn more about the sport of fishing. After completing the course, he noted "the Faculty of Fishing has been instrumental in bringing my fishing experiences to a new level and has been the most successful lure in my tackle box. When not on the water he can be found playing barbies with 2 beautiful daughters and spending quality time with his beautiful wife.
